Wolves of Imaar

Long ago, when humans were beginning to explore the unclaimed lands of the world, there was one land hidden from their eyes. It was not for lack of trying; many times rickety ships passed by the continent in the Pacific, but their eyes only saw more rolling waves, perhaps a bit of fog. What, you might ask, was the cause? There was something protecting the land of Imaar. The legends say that in three days of complete darkness, the wolf Gods Hati and Skoll descended from the sky, resting on a large landmass, taking a break from their chasing of the moon and sun. It was a time before humans were even in existence, but after those few days on the island, the brothers decided to claim the land as their own. When Hati went back to chasing the Moon, and Skoll the Sun across the sky, they still watched their land as they passed. When the first humans began exploring, they protected it.

The only creatures they allowed on the land were those of their own form; mortal wolves. As the years wore on and the population grew, certain wolves began to get ideas beyond those that the brothers wished. Greedy mortal figures spread tales that the brother Gods were fighting, and that the mortals, too, must choose sides and fight. That was really where the modern feud started. Though Hati himself was not a cruel being, those that took his 'side' tended to be very dark-hearted. Those that took Skoll's were light-hearted. The brothers were heartbroken to see their beautiful land break out in war, but they could not stop their never-ending cycle. If they stopped chasing the light-giving orbs, the world would forever be cast into darkness. They simply wait for the day when they will be able to descend from the heavens and restore their land to peace.

Will you join the 'followers' of Hati, Skoll, or a pack of Loners who scoff at the whole affair? The choice is yours.
