Captain Barbossa has gathered almost all of his lost cursed gold. He's only got one piece left to find, and it's just turned up on one of England's Caribbean colonies.
Captain Sparrow really wants his ship back, and it's very convenient that his little dinghy has just washed ashore on the island that Barbossa is sailing towards with all haste.
Will Turner and Elizabeth Swann are too concerned with their own - and each other's - lives to realize that a piece of gold and a case of mistaken identity could seriously damage one of them.
James Norrington doesn't like pirates at all, and one of them is in his port. He really wants to be rid of him, but his beloved Elizabeth isn't okay with that, seeing as he's just saved her life.
